Hi all,

I have a cisco CP-8831-K9 it's a IP conference phone and i can't use because it's not suported by 3cx, someone have any inexpensive solution for conference phones?

If the set has a SIP load, then the issue is getting an XML file written to configure it. Just because something isn't "officially supported", doesn't mean it won't work, it just means it is going to take some effort to get it working. 3CX uses SIP, it's a standard. You may not have a lot of "advanced features", but you would probably have basic calling, and call transfers.

Have a read through this...

It includes is an example of an xml file that could be modified with the require parameters.

Hi ieba1,

If you don't/can't get a provisioning file compatible with 3CX then you can either login to the device and manually set it up to 3CX using an extension on the PBX, username, password and local IP address of 3CX (if you are local to the system).

Or you could just get a supported conference phone - I recommend the Yealink CP920 or if you have the cash CP960 they are excellent products and work great with 3CX (see the list provided above).

In the link i posted, there was an example of an xlm file, which could be modified and used, not an "error" file
