Solved Configuring Grandstream HT - 'admin' password on Web Page failed

Hi,

just configured my Grandstream HT-802 by your support page:

Beside Web GUI user "admin" password setting, providing works as described.

The "Device Web Page Password" generated by 3CX PBX for FXS/DECT doesn't met the strength: "Must contain 8-30 characters, at least one number, one uppercase and lowercase letter, and one special character." In my case, no special character was included. Therefore password still on factory setting ('admin').

HT-802 is on latest firmware ver. 1.0.29.8

Extended 3CX PBX Password for FXS/DECT by trailed slash as special character:

Grandstream WEB GUI confirmed.
3CX PBX rejected manual changing of 'Device Web Page Password' by: "Password should be alphanumeric, less than 20 characters in length and should not contain special characters"

We have contacted the manufacturer to discuss a solution. This change was introduced after they provided a new FW update that rejected the 3CX password that was previously acceptable.

In the meantime, you can of course manually change the web admin password for these devices as our config should not overwrite it. Any other provisioning pushed from 3CX should still be applied.

Hello,

Firmware version 1.0.35.4 has been released by Grandstream which now accepts the 3CX generated password like it did in the past.

We will mark this as solved.
