We are upgrading multiple 3CX PBXs in AWS from v18 to v20. (Installed on Debian 9 - 12)

Instead of waiting for each instance to boot up after the upgrade, does anyone have a script or command to confirm if the upgrade is complete? This would save me from repeatedly signing in or checking the Linux logs manually.

A Bash script that runs every few minutes to check if the instance is installed and, if installed, sends an email notification.

This is already handled by 3CX if you add your email address in the designated field.

I’m not entirely convinced of the relevance of another script.

The administrator will receive an email for confirmation or failure of the upgrade.
Keep in mind that this is a big upgrade and should not interfere the process as it can break the process with unexpected results.

Sure with Debian 9?

Hey Guillaume,

This is exactly what I needed. Gives me the exact time an upgrade completes or fails. Thanks!
