Nick, we love 3CX!
We started selling 3CX around the version 6 timeframe (I forget exactly when), so we have been right there with you Nick for almost the entire time 3CX has been available in the USA. We built our business around 3CX for some very important reasons -- many unique to 3CX including (no particular order):
- Support for Windows (and now Linux too)
- Zero barriers to get started (No mandatory purchase required)
- No-hassle pricing (everyone gets everything)
- Free on-line and in-person training
- Industry-leading pricing
- Generous partner benefits (including free NFR and lead generation)
- Ultra simple install and administration
- Feature-rich enterprise-level features (and constantly improving)
- Rock-solid reliability
- No hardware-vendor lock-in (can use any SIP standards-based phone)
- An extensive C# .Net based Call Control API (expanded to REST)
I'm sure I could come up with a lot more reasons to love 3CX, but I think this is a pretty important list. We have been selling VoIP systems for 26 years, and we have seen a lot of phone manufacturers come and go. We have gone through the pain of administering the legacy vendors (LG Ericsson, Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, etc.). Without that experience, you might not fully appreciate how easy 3CX is quote, sell, and support. But for those who have been in the industry as long as we have, you know the importance of every item in the list above. If you started your VoIP experience with 3CX, you have no idea how different 3CX is from the competition.
We are Microsoft C# programmers, and we were looking for a highly customizable phone system, based on .Net, that would enable us to build custom integrations (and features) we needed to support our demanding, ever-changing, customers. You cannot imagine how excited and grateful we have been to have found 3CX. After a few months of working with 3CX we dropped all our other phone systems vendors and have been working exclusively with 3CX for nearly 20 years. It is hard to imagine that much time has gone by.
