Hi,

we have issues using the 3CX App when connected to the T-Mobile (USA) Network. We tried to use the Mobile App on Android and also the Windows App, both have the same issue. It looks like it's related to the fact that T-Mobile uses IPv6. I did a trace on my 3CX server and it looks like the traffic from the App never reaches the server.

Any ideas what we could try?

Thank you!

When you say connection issues, what do you mean exactly, is the 3CX Android app not provisioning or is it not Registering? Do you get a specific error message?

The 3CX Windows App will use the configuration file to provision the first time so you should at least have the extension information already in there, what error message do you get within the 3CX Windows App?

Also, what versions of the 3CX PBX, Android app and Windows App are you running?

It's not registering, the app is already provisioned. The App works when using a WiFi network that is not connected to T-Mobile and is not using IPv6.

We use version 16.3.0.220 for Windows and 16.7.8.121 with Android.

Is the 3CX PBX using IPv6 too?

From the affected device, open a web-browser while connected to the carrier's network and try accessing the PBX's Management Console with https://<FQDN>:<HTTPS_PORT> does it work?

Note: The HTTPS port is either 443 or 5001 by default unless you've changed it during installation.

No, the PBX is not using IPv6. I cannot access the Management Console on port 5001 when connected to the T-Mobile Network. When connected to the WiFi Network I can connect to the Management Console.

I'll PM you shortly with something to test regarding this.
