Hi!
We've observed this on the 16.3.0.144 client on two different systems - when you type First into the search bar, you get a list of all of the contacts and extensions matching First in the PBX, as predicted. If you search any of the following:
First L
First La
you'll get a list of all of the contacts only (matching extensions are not shown) that match that entry. You'll only get the extension called First Last after you put three or more characters of the last name in to the search bar. If you type in "La" by itself the extension will appear as expected, with contacts.
