contacts team in app

My phone book is only in one department. If I log in as a user for another department, I don't see the contacts, nor the extensions for other departments because I've set them to not be visible. However, if I log in from the smartphone app, I can see the extensions for other departments in my contacts, but I don't want to see them, as is rightfully the case with the web client.
