Does anyone know if the system allows you to backup just certain parts of the system and restore them in layers due to size? I have a large amount of recordings and wanted to create to backup sets one of the system and voicemails etc and then just a backup of the recordings only. Then do a restore on a new system using those two sets. So far I am getting errors trying to backup and I think it is due to the size of the backup. It would be about 80GB currently.

Hello @Joe Summerlin

Please note that this is not possible as the backup created will always contain the configuration of the system and the backups cannot be restored in layers.

What you can do is create a backup without including the recordings. Restore this backup to the new system .Then copy the recordings from the existing system to the recording path of the new system. The system should recognise the recordings and populate them in the management console.

@Joe Summerlin, if you want to backup the recordings. We created an iSCSI on our PBX server that the recordings points to. We then back that bit up, so when we are able to do a restore, we change the path back and all is still there :)
