The scope of this task is to replace the built-in pin.wav file to my custom recorded pin.wav file. I have done the following:

1. Create a new prompt set by copying the standard set and gave it a new name
2. From the GUI uploaded my custom pin.wav file
3. From CLI went to the /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Ivr/Prompts/Sets location where the new folder was created, and edited the SetInfo.XML using nano on debian

Now when I dial 7777 from my extension, the built in pin.wav and my custom pin.wav is mixed.

Original (built in file): Please enter personal identification number then press pound.
Customised: Please enter your pincoe and press hash

What I end up with: "Please enter, please enter your pin code and press hash, then press pound"

Additionally, I was able to dial 777 for the pin authentication previously (and from one of my other systems). Don't know why it changed to 7777?

Hi @carmen.leroux,

The reason you're ending up with "Please enter, please enter your pin code and press hash, then press pound" is because pin only plays the words "personal identification number".

You've edited PIN to change to try to change 3 different files that play in succession:

If you only edit "then_press_pound.wav" under THENPRESPND, this should resolve your issue.

Another easier way of including "hash" instead of "pound" would be changing the prompt set to Australian / British prompts.

Hi @VasilisV_3CX

I get what you are saying... Thanks, I have rather gone over to British as per suggestion for now.

Why would the pin prompt change from 777 to 7777?

The 777 prompt is based on system digit length and can only be changed by reinstallation and selecting 4 digit extensions.

Thanks @VasilisV_3CX this makes perfect sense, such a blonde questions actually. I've been jumping between 2 systems, this is where the confusion arises.

Thanks for all the help, much appreciated.
