Debian 9.4

Hi,

I'm running 3CX 15.5.13103.5 on Debian 9.4 (stretch) on a Dell Core i3-2120 with 8GB RAM and I'm experiencing an issue where 3CX attempts to restart at 06:47 each morning but fails with the error "Dec 4 06:49:35 chs3cx systemd[1]: 3CXCfgServ01.service: Main process exited, code=killed, status=6/ABRT"

The system was not routing calls and would not allow me into the console to investigate the issues & the only way of rectifying the problem quickly was a restart of the operating system.

You have to use the 3CX ISO with the debian version used on the ISO. You can not go to a different version of Debian

Thanks for the quick reply Nick. I did use the 3CX ISO to install the system, the read me from the ISO confirms the version.

The only change I've made was to install NTP as I was experiencing system and handset registrations every so often.

The apt upgrade is not something that I'm kicking off.

Does this make sense?

Thanks for your reply.

This is exactly what I did, I installed 3CX using the ISO downloaded from 3CX which was Debian 9.4 (stretch), downloaded and installed on the 27/07/2018.

I did install ConnectWise remote control client initially but removed it since it did not function correctly and the only other change has been the installation of NTP as advised in another 3CX thread as some found that this resolved an issue I was experiencing with extensions / system re-registrations during the day. Are you saying that the 3CX ISO release is 100% fixed i.e. you cannot add NTP etc? I've certainly not updated the system so I'm not sure where I've gone wrong?

The first thing you should do is to upgrade to the latest version and see if you face any issues there. You also need to upgrade to avoid running into issues with activation. You can upgrade your PBX by following the guide below: https://www.3cx.com/blog/news/pbx-upgrade-update-6/
