Morning,

In the email templates for conferencing, there is a variable for defining an external number so outside people can call into a conference. When I send out test conferences, this is blank in the email. As a result, the outside person has no idea what number to call. This is the default email, I've not modified anything within.

We have designated three external numbers to use for conference testing. How do I define this list of numbers within 3CX so the system knows to reference them for conferencing and include them in the emails?

To join dial %%EXTERNALNUMBER%% and enter the conference ID %%CONFERENCEID%%.
Internal employees can join by dialing %%INTERNALNUMBER%% followed by conference ID %%CONFERENCEID%%.

Hello @Shadragon

You need to set this in Management Console >> Settings >> Conferencing >> Audio Tab.
Just write your DIDs in the "Conference number to display in invite email" field.

Settings - Conferencing - Audio - set 'Conference number to display in invite email'

Just make sure the number is routed to the conference phone system extension

Thank you. Setting the number into the "Conference number to display in invite email" field solved this, but brings up another question.

Let's say I have a series of external access numbers:

555-0001
555-0002
555-0003... etc.

I set the conf number on the email to 555-0001 and someone calls it to start a conf. Another person calls the same number for a different conf. Do they get a busy signal, or does 3CX shunt the original user to another line?

If the SIP trunk allows multiple calls then no problem...
We have 1 number and 10 or more people call in.
And its routed to the right place based on the conference ID they enter.

If Analog, is roll-over setup?

No analog. Will double check the SIP allows multiple calls with the provider. Thanks.

Remember you set the 'Number of SIM Calls' on the SIP setup, so if you configure 3 then you are allowed three calls.on this sip line

Conference calls use your sim call allowance in your license - so if you have 8 sim calls then the max is 8 but this does not allow any other calls so the max so be lower than your sim calls on your license
