Delay before hearing queue music

Hello,

We have set up a queue, where everybody gots in when calling our main number.

The Problem: When calling i hear for around 1.5 seconds the "classic ringing signal", and only after this 1.5 seconds i hear our defined queue music.
Is there any chance, that we can set it up so the user wont here the classic ringing and starts with music immediately?

When you hear the 1.5 seconds of classical ringing, are the queue agents being polled at this time?

No, during the 1.5 seconds, the agents are not being polled. They are polled when the music starts.
In SIP Trunk settings I have set up: "Redirects calls to... and then selected the Queue". Is this correct?

Hi @mountainmedia,

Yes, if on the SIP Trunk level, you've got Destination for calls during office hours set to the Queue, that should be correct.

What you're hearing is the system ringing (though 1.5sec is a bit long) then the queue answering and the MOH plays as it should. In these cases, a small delay is expected. If you'd like to investigate further you'll need to packet capture and find out why the delay is 1.5 seconds though.

Hi @mountainmedia,

I believe the best way would be to start a Wireshark Packet Capture on your PBX, to see the exact time it takes to send information to your provider and receive information from your provider. This should enlighten you as to what is going on.

If you're not privy to Wireshark at present, feel free to reach out to a 3CX Partner to assist you in this.

I would look at resources on your machine and give some more if possible. Otherwise, modify the MOH to include a few seconds of silence at the start so callers dont hear it.
