Hello everyone,

I am in charge of our on-prem 3CX installations (20.0.6.724) with about 1000 extensions on one system. I am doing a lot of restructuring atm and ran into an issue with the department filter under Admin->Users:
When I set any Filter I still get shown almost all users, regardless of their department association:

That is just a small excerpt, I get 10 pages of users here, which is pretty unwieldy. Any chance for me to find out why the filter isn't working properly or has this already been addressed in the coming U7?
P.S. I know users shouldn't be allocated to multiple departments... Like I mentioned, still quite a bit of work needed.
P.P.S The system I selected while creating the thread is NOT our productive system, since I used my own user, not the one used to admin those.

Thanks for any info and recommendations in advance!

Best regards
Julian

It uses the "View > See Presence" permission of users instead of their actual group membership.

It's "by design". We had a ticket opened for this and were told it wouldn't be changed to an actual filter. Right now it works like the filter on the Team page.

Hi ConceptsWeb,
that sounds pretty strange to me, since it works properly as filter in the Team page:

Maybe I misunderstood you but that does not appear to be intended behaviour, especially when changing the View options (I set permissions only for that department, everything else is not ticked) does literally nothing to mitigate it. It wouldn't be a huge problem if it was purely cosmetic, fact is though when department admins have access to all users instead of only the ones in their department it raises concerns about data protection:

I hope this clears any misunderstandings up. Thank you for your help nonetheless and maybe someone still has some suggestions.

Best regards
Julian
