I have a 3cx PBX Server running the latest version.

One of the extensions would like that when he calls in to his voicemail from his personal cell and selects option 9 followed by option 3 to dial an outbound call it says "call transferred failed".

I enabled allow outbound calls from voicemail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Best is to test this while running some logging while the system is in verbose setting so you can actually see what happens.

Just be aware this can be a security risk, this how hackers use your pabx to make long distance calls (if 3cx allows international calls) - giving you an expensive phone bill.

Why not install the 3cx mobile application on the phone, it does use personal contacts

The error message, maybe down to your outbound rules - I am guessing it is using a system account to dial the number so you need to check your rules. Check the activity log

Hi all,

Thanks for the response.

So he reason they would like to set this up is because they are a shipping and receiving company and they would like that when their driver arrives at the customers house they can call them with the business caller ID.

They are not provided with smartphones, otherwise I would have given them the app.

I understand its a security risk and advised the client against it however he would still like to give it a try.

How would the outbound rules need to be set up for that to be able to work?

Right now I have it set up as follows:

Calls to a number with the length of 7 should prepend 4 digits
Calls to a number with the length of 10 should prepend 1 digit
Calls to a number with the length of 11 should prepend 0 digits but should prefix 1

Thank you again for your help
