Hi,
I am not sure if there is a special setup/ option that needs to be turned on for this but whenever I dial extension 999 it just gives me an option thay says "you do not have any voicemail" and it does not ask me to enter another extension.
Please advise, Thanks!

Are you calling from a phone on the system or external? If internal system assumes you want the vm from the extension you are calling from. If you want a different extension you first press # and you should then be prompted for the extension number you wish.

We tried to call from a phone in the system we dialed 999 then hash then it just thanks me. I also tried from an android app not in the same office, same option

Do you get a prompt "Please enter Personal Identification Number" if you just key 999# ?
Is vm disabled for your extension?

no, if I just press 999 it says no voicemail available. Now If I try 999 then # it says thank you goodbye, then if I try 999# at the same time, the call does not go through

Is voicemail enabled for that extension? Do you have a PIN set up? If you leave that extension a message, can they retrieve it?

You need to have the PIN Authentication enabled in your extensions voicemail for "#" to work. Once you enable it call 999. You will hear the prompt asking for the voicemail pin. At that point you can press "#" and you will be asked for the extension number.

Ah! that fixed it! thanks YiannisH_3CX!
