Hello,

We are currently using a single SIP Trunk provider and they don't support SMS/MMS. We want to port some cell phone numbers to a SIP provider and assign those DIDs to internal extensions to allow SMS/MMS. Is it possible to use two SIP providers, one for our main DIDs and one just for SMS/MMS DIDs? If so, how would I go about configuring that?

Thanks,
Bobby

Yes it is, as long as you're not on StartUP.

Simply create a new trunk for the SMS provider.

We are self-hosted. Thank you!

You can also try using Hosted SMS from Twilio, where you can host the SMS part in Twilio and the voice part in your current provider.

Otherwise, I recommend Twilio or VoxTelesys for SMS, they're the two we've had more success with.
