Different background color when picking up

Hi.
We're upgrading our Fanvil X7C from the old 1.1.2 to the latest supported 2.4.12 firmware version.
Users reported that with the new version, the phone display background color changes when the receiver is picked up. The color is too bright and makes it difficult to read under certain circumstances.




I did some searches on the Phone settings and on the XML template but wasn't able to find such setting.

Even in the Phone UI I didn't find how to change the colors, or the behavior.


Does anyone know if somehow the old behavior/colors can be restored?

Hello,

I'm not aware of any way you can change that. It does indeed look that it is hardcoded into the firmware by Fanvil.

If this helps, you can reduce the brightness from the phone Basic settings menu and this should be retained even across reboots.

I tried changing brightness from the WebUI but doesn't affect anything on the display, at least nothing on the pickup side.

I opened a ticket to Fanvil, I'll report back if they respond something useful.

I changed it via the phone menus (not the web UI), give it a try and see if this preferable.

Hi @JohnS_3CX, thanks for the feedback. Can you share the menu path (and a picture, if possible)? Fanvil replied me there's actually no way to change the display colors, they're hardcoded in the firmware. Thanks

Sure thing. Just as a reminder, my recommendation was for the backlight level (brightness) to make it more comfortable for the users. I have no way of changing the actual colors mentioned above.
