Solved Disable conference reminders

Is there a way to disable the conference email reminder? Since you can’t reschedule a meeting in 3CX, that’s actually handled through the calendar app but we will still get these reminder emails for the original time from 3CX, so it can be confusing. The calendar apps handle reminders so I was wondering if the email can be disabled.

Under the "Select Email / Calendar to add to" section, what are you selecting when creating the conference? When you reschedule the meeting, how are you going about this?

The client clarified to me that they haven't been rescheduling in 3CX, just Outlook. So they aren't actually rescheduling. Is there a way to do this in 3CX?

"In 3CX it actually doesn’t allow you to reschedule the meeting. Basically, once it’s set, it’s set. See below of screen shot. If it needs to be rescheduled you have to cancel the meeting and create a new one, which is very confusing for our clients.

Instead, we have to use the calendar application to update the meeting invite. We use Outlook/Office365. That also handles the reminders for the meeting, but the 3CX system continues to send separate emails reminding you, except that it’s for the original time."

What they could do is schedule a meeting in 3CX that ends in something like 2050. And ensure that you've got "Meeting starts once organizer joins" enabled for the meeting, create the meeting via Google not via legacy Emailing so that you can control the invite that goes out and edit the date in the mail. So if you change the date in Google calendar, once the meeting is created for 2050, it will only change what is sent in the Calendar to the users that are invited.
