Hi,

A client asked me if I could make the display on their Yealink T54W show DND status of their coworkers, and what I thought would be easy turned out to be not quit so easy.

The yealink t54w has 10 buttons for BLF and they have been assigned to the other users in the office - works perfectly and they change from green to red when the coworkers are in a call.

Pressing the DND button on the phone changes the user in 3cx to show as "Do not disturb", but the BLF never changes color - annoying.

I've enabled "Publish department information to all extensions" in the default (and only) department and reprovisioned the phones. No changes

This is running on 3cx v20u7 and the latest approved firmware (96.87.0.16) on premises.

I've found som references to enabling DND_SYNC in the template but would rather fix this in the GUI if possible,

Any ideas?

Regarding your question, please note that the DND (Do Not Disturb) button on the phones does not provide any visual feedback — for example, it does not turn red when activated.

Instead, a DND icon will appear on the phone’s display to indicate that the feature is enabled. On other users’ phones, the BLF key for the user who is in DND will also not change colour (it will not turn red).

The DND status can only be viewed through the 3CX Web Client, PWA, or Softphone, using either the BLF indicators or the manager panel.

Hi,
Well that matches my experience thus far, and it would appear to be by design. I would have thought it would be similar to free/busy which works perfectly, but that is not the case.

For network security reasons the laptops are isolated from the 3cx instance and the Web or PWA are unavailable for them. We will work with their IT department to see if that can be changed.

I appreciate the response.

Mikkel

You are welcome.
