I had a testing installation running, then wanted to setup a new one to test restore. I did that, all good. But, when I setup the new one, now my FQDN at 3cx was pointed to the new server (which makes good sense if I actually had to do a restore). How would I change the DNS to point back to the old IP at AWS?

You should have used a new license and restore a backup without license in it.

Simply shut down the Lightsail one and reboot the AWS instance. DNS will take 6h (5min for Enterprise) to update.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So when I run backups to deal with this possible situation, I shouldn't include my license data in it? shut down the NEW lightsail instance, then reboot the old lightsail instance?

To test this, no you don't include a license pour you can run a manual backup for that situation.

In your scheduled backup, yes you want to include license and FQDN.
