My use case is as follows: I have a emergency home phone system which works by dialing a number in an emergency (Tunstall Lifeline VI+), and I want to be able to have a single number that is then forwarded to several other numbers and the first one to pick up gets the call from the unit.
I achived this by using 3CX SMB Free 10 License and setting up a SIP Trunk through peoplefone, using a 3CX ring group where every participant has "Also ring my mobile" enabled, which is then the outbound number I want to call. (This was the solution that I found the easiest and cheapest, in general a complete PBX just for this task is obviously overkill)
However, the emergency phone requires the use of DTMF tones to control the call. When I set up the emergency phone to call a landline number directly, the setup works (the emergency phone is currently at my place, using a Cisco SPA112 and a separate number and SIP Trunk also from peoplefone, but will by connected to a Fritzbox using a German Telekom Home SIP Trunk once deployed).
Since I am using the free version I seem to not be able to perform any of the more advanced troubleshooting steps dicussed in the other DTMF threads mostly regarding self hosted instances.
I am running 3CX Version 18.0 Update 8 (Build 939) and the SPA112 is running Firmware Version 1.3.5 (004p).
Any help is greatly appreciated!
(Edit: Emergency phone in this context has obviously no connection to emergency services and there will be a backup number stored in the unit to call in case either the SIP Trunk or 3CX should be down, of cause.)
