We use an announcement system with SIP capabilities that allow our people to make building announcements from our phone extensions. This seems to work great from our Yealink phones and from iPhones running the 3CX app. But, I can't get it to work from any Android device. It behaves as if the announcement software can't interpret what keys are pressed. I asked the software developer about the issue and they think the problem might be in 3CX. When they ran a packet capture they discovered that the DTMF RTP packets are 14 bytes larger than expected from an Android device.
The extension the announcement system uses is configured as a generic IP phone.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
