Hi
I have several Extensions, with no Mobile App and no IP Phone. On this extensions, the Mobile Number is set, and the extension remain "red"
If the Mobile is ringing, DTMF is not working at all.
And if this extension is in a Caller Group, no call is made because the phone is unavailable.

I need the functionality of DTMF on the Mobile, and a "green" extension for my setup. How can i achieve this?

The internal Extension is only used, to call Mobile external workers - which need DTMF...
Thank you very much!

Please explain how you are using DTMF, and provide more detail as to the scenario. You have non-registered extensions set to "Ring my Mobile", is this correct? The extensions are all a part of a ring group, is this correct? You say the mobile is ringing...then what happens, they are unable to answer?

We use DTMF in RFC Mode. On the mobile, there must be the possibility to send DTMF inputs to the caller.

Yes this is correct

Yes this is right

then what happens, they are unable to answer?
If the Mobile is ringing, all works well but not the DTMF Inputs

It may very well have to do with the DTMF Method being used.. If DTMF is being sent as Audio, which I suspect it may be, then the Codec being used on the outgoing trunk(s) will may have an affect if the codec is not something like g711 a or u. In some cases, because mobile phones "generally" only send short bursts of DTMF, the level may be attenuated enough, when it reaches the final destination, that it is ignored. Are the callers coming in on an outside trunk, then the call is again being sent over a trunk to the mobiles? If you call in, and have the mobile user press some numbers, can you hear DTMF? Is it distorted?

Are these various callers, or only one originator?

Hello @NTSer

The reason why DTMF tones are not working is because you are using the "Ring my mobile simultaneously " option. The PBX will capture all DTMF tones in this mode as it uses them for the Mobile transfer Agent Service. This allows a GSM user to control the call using dial codes. More details here:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/pbx-dial-codes/#h.mlp4gmj167pe
To be able to send DTMF tones to the calling party you will need to disable the option "Ring my mobile simultaneously " and setup the extensions to forward the calls to an external number.

Hi Yiannish
Thank you very much!
The affected extensions are special nubers for fieldforce with only a (external, unmanaged) Mobile phone.
In this extension is the forwarding to mobile in any case active.
Now, this extensions remains "red" or "down" because no other Phone is registered, and "Ring my mobile simultaneously " is deactivated.
If i call the extension directly, everithing works well. But i need a Hunt group for all theese fieldforce Workers. And from Call Group view, all members are down, and the "action if no answer" is triggered.

Is it possible, to call the members also when the extension is down?

Set your extensions to Away status and add them to the ring group. In the Away forwarding rule enable the option " Accept calls from Ring Groups". Then for internal and external calls, forward calls to "Forward to Number" and type the mobile number there.
The PBX should send the call to the mobile numbers even if the extensions are unregistered.
Make sure you remove the mobile number from the mobile field of the extensions.

Hi YiannisH
Thank you very much for this solution! It seems working! But i like to check it again in real life scenario.
Is the only way to set the extension to away with a login (web or App) and set the extension to away?

Yes that is the only way since you do not have an IP Phone or client attached with the extensions

OK, thank you
It is working, even if i leave the Mobile number under General tab and set "Forward to Mobile"

Thank you very much for your support!
