Hi Everyone

Our Setup is as follows
We have elastix 2.5 with , we tested Sangoma FXO card and Digium FXO card , connected to Ericsson GSM terminal G30 , our problem is as follows
When a caller call in , we receive the number with no problem.
The caller hears the welcome message ( press 1 for support ..etc )
When the caller presses any number to go to the second menu he does not get redirected

Any Help on the issue

Thanks

Hi

Maybe try to enable dtmf debug adding dtmf into full parameters in this file :/etc/asterisk/logger_logfiles_custom.conf
full => notice,warning,error,debug,verbose,dtmf

Save your file and reload asterisk.

Launch CLI mode and make a test.
You should see the key pressed into the CLI mode.

If you don't see anything, you may have some problems with dtmf mode.
Check the best mode:
  • INBAND,
  • RFC2833,
  • INFO or
  • AUTO
Sometimes, if the rxgain is too low or too high, you may have some problem.
This issue can appear when you use E1, T2 , FXO ..etc
In this case, try to play with rxgain value.

Regards & Good luck :wink:

Thanks , will try and give you feedback

Thank You

Hi Again

We tried a lot of scenarios as you guided us , the problem is when we debug the system does not receive anything , we don't see any keystrokes in CLI mode

Any advice

Thanks

Ok so, now try the other ways.
dtmfmode and rgain.

Thank you for your reply , here is what we did , still the system in CLI mode does not see the keystrokes

dtmfmode=inband
rxgain=-14.0
-----
rxgain=9.0
dtmfmode=inband
------
rxgain=5.0
dtmfmode=inband
--
rxgain=0.0
dtmfmode=inband
----
rxgain=0.0
dtmfmode=auto
----
rxgain=0.0
dtmfmode=info
-----
rxgain=0.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833
--------------
rxgain=5.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833
--------------
rxgain=9.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833
--------------
rxgain=14.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833
----
rxgain=-9.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833
----
rxgain=-14.0
dtmfmode=RFC2833

You had put anything :lol:
rx/txgain are explained in dB
If you put 14 = +14dB !!!!!
You could try somethink like that.
rxgain = 0.2
rxgain = -0.2

rxgain is a parameter somewhere in your config DAHDI or in your gateway. (i don't know what you use)
It's not a SIP parameter as well.

Thanks :)

We will try now and tell you

Hi Again

Up till now no luck , we suspect that the GSM terminal does not send the DTMF, as we tried receiving the call to a softphone , after answering we started to keystroke , but we did not hear anything.
We will still investigate more
Any help about debugging the Ericsson GSM terminal G-30 will be great

Thanks
