Hi guys, I'm learning about DUNDi and have it working between two Elastix PBX's and it works really well. However, I have a really *stupid* question - how do I deal with inbound routes?
As I said, DUNDi works well - I have Cisco handsets registering to both PBX's using SRV so if one PBX is down the handset will register with the other. DUNDi manages the tracking of those registrations so peer-to-peer calls can be made regardless of where each extension is registered.
But how do I handle inbound routes without enabling anonymous SIP calls? Calls are delivered to the PBX's from a Cisco system using Trunk Selector Groups. This routes inbound calls to all PBX's and the first one to respond gets the call. The problem with that is the SIP trunks used by the TSG cannot be registered trunks, so I have to allow anonymous SIP calls for the call to come in. I've never liked having anonymous SIP calls enabled as you get annoying traffic and people poking about. So how do I do it? I think I will need to have a custom destination that I drop all calls into with the destination extension attached and then do a DUNDi lookup, but I have an awful feeling I'm missing something really obvious - does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Many thanks,
Neil
