Dynamic DNS (DDNS) Public Address
When you set up the 3CX System you are asked under settings - network - Public IP to enter a public IP Address as well as a Privite side address.
If you Use a service like DynDNS that maintains a Public Side A Record that always points to your Public IP Address even if the ISP Changes it.
So a Remote phone will always resolve to my Public Address.
On the Router we use port forwarding and require only a Port on the Public IP to forward it to the 3CX Server
Based on this is the Public IP Address entered into the setup ever used and if so how and under what circumstances
Does this Public address realy mater after the system is installed. For local hard and soft clients the access will be to the local address of the 3CX Server.
What issues can I expect because the ISP only provides Dynamic DNS Records.
When the Public IP Address changes what must I do to fix the problem in the 3CX Server.
What experience have you had with Dynamic DNS
