We have never been able to conigure 3CX and our Portech MV372 box to make outbounds calls without their being a very bad echo on the call. Inbound no problem. Does anyone have a setting we can try to get round this? We have had this problem for over a year now and really would like to get to the bottom of it.

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hi, I solved the echo problem on Protech mv-372 as follows:

go to .... Mobile / settings / Init AT Cmd
Enter ... at+echo=28000,20,3,0;+echo=28000,20,3,1

Most important: Make sure the antenna is in a place where it is free from any reflection.
Try to reduce the audio level you are sending to the GSM network. That way you don't overload the echo suppressors at the far end.

Hi there,

tried the at command which did not resolve the issue how do I reduce the audio level going to the GSM?

Please read: http://www.portech.com.tw/data/MV-370%20user%20manual.pdf chapter 11.2 on page 15 and How To
“Configuring the Portech MV-370 and MV-372” http://www.3cx.com/blog/voip-howto/gsm-mobile-gateway/
Search for the VoIP and CODEC Tx/RX Gain parameters. Here you can reduce the CODEC Tx Gain. Do not change your VoIP Tx/Rx Gain because these settings are used for the audio level from/to your LAN site.
