Hi everyone,
Before anything, please allow me to say this: I know I would be better getting supported phones. I am aware of the brands and models that are supported and I'm also aware of the risks of using unsupported phones in a business environment.
I found two old topics mentioning Ericsson/LG phones, but none offered me conclusive information. Has anyone been using these models with 3CX more recently? I have in my site 30 units of the model IPECS IP-9802 and 40 units of the older model LIP-8002. Theres LIP-8002s were already due to replacement as they have other problems, but I need to keep the IP-9802s for now.
I have sucessfully registered one of them and I'm able to originate calls from it, but it doesn't receive calls and it doesn't show under the Phones list (other unsupported brands/models show as UNPROVISIONED but they work very well). I can see activity on Wireshark when originating a call from one of the 9802s, but no traffic when trying to call it from another extension. It's important to mention that the same extension has an android app registered, which ring normally when called. The desk phone and the android are in different VLANs, each one having its own NIC in the server .
Do you think this is something that could be solved with a dedicated template?
I thank you all in advance for sharing your experience, even if you need to mention the usual disclaimers
Regards,
Tales
