Hello,

some of the scheduled backups in v18, which are configured with a rotation of 3 backups, fail to rename the tmp file to zip.
We noticed that these backups were quite large (>900mb). I cleaned the old phone firmwares and now the backups are ~300mb.
Deleted all the rotation backups, but after the third I still get the error renaming the file:

Your 3CX backup failed due to the following reason(s):

FluentFTP.FtpCommandException: Internal error renaming the file

at FluentFTP.FtpClient.Rename(String path, String dest)

at _3cxFilesystemImplementations.FTP.FtpFilesystem.Move(String filename1, String filename2)

at BackupRestoreSchedule.BackupJob.Execute(IJobExecutionContext context)

Any ideas of what to check?
Other backups with the same configuration are working fine.

The ftp user account you are using for FTP, does not full access rights to the folders on the FTP server.

Use another FTP Client to check permissions.

Thanks, I'll double check and try again, but from last time I checked it was set to 777.
Backup rotation and renaming of the zip files were working fine until they hit the 1GB size. After that, even after removing the old phone firmwares and deleting the 3 backups I still get the error

Do double check permissions but I'd also recommend checking available disk space on the FTP server.

SSH to the FTP server and run:

Hi thanks for the answers.
It's not a ftp problem, other backups in the same directory work fine. Also these backups where working correctly before.
I can confirm that backup over 1gb always give errors renaming the file even at the first backup (renamed all the files in the rotation and started fresh)

What FTP Server are you using, is it Filezilla on a windows machine?

other backups in the same directory work fine
Can you try temporarily disable all other backups. Also, what you should definitely do whether this gets fixed or not is have every PBX use a different FTP user and directory.

Let me know if anything changes when you do the above.
