Hello,

I have a little question, I'm trying to configure the next situation:
At some days, on late shift(10pm 'till 6am) we need the extension to forward specific incoming calls to a mobile number.
This is possible in the exception caller ID of the extension.

But because these are random days, it is not really configurable in exceptions.
Is there a possibility when the status of the extension is for example on "Away", we can activate these exceptions? Or is it not possible without the Call Flow Designer?

Thanks for your help!

Kind Regards

Hi @Pesys,

You can customize one of the 2 additional statuses (one is an always available and the other is always away - both would need to be manually changed), and select "Business Trip" (name customizable) to forward to a number. This means whenever a random day comes along, you can quickly switch the extension to Business Trip and receive calls on the mobile.

I understand, but not all calls need to be forwarded. When you add the exceptions, they are active for all status profiles.

I understand now. This can be done by setting up new group where your extension and a 'dummy extension' are setup. Your extension will need to have the rights modified to include receptionist operation rights. This will allow it to control the status of the dummy extension, which is how we will overcome the need to turn this functionality on and off.

The dummy extension will need to have one of it's statuses, "Available" for example, have the option selected under External Calls >> 'If I am busy or my phone is unregistered, forward calls to' and choose the mobile number that should be called.

Then set the Away status of the dummy extension to forward to extension of which ever call queue, ring group or extension you'd normally choose during standard operating procedure.

The last step is to set up inbound CID rules for the numbers that should route to the mobile during the random days. Have them forward to the dummy extension.

Now from the group, you can control the availability of the dummy extension with your extension using the receptionist rights. Set it available when you want it to route, and away when not using it to forward to the mobile.

Thanks for the help.

I tested the situation with the extension (where the incoming calls come in), when changing this status to away, I can forward to a dummy extension en then create soms exceptions.
I think this will be the solution for our customer.
