I have 5 extensions on my 3CX system V 12.

1 VoIP connection outbound only

I PSTN line connection via an OBi110 Gateway

The System runs on a freestanding Atom based Windows 7 Box

The Obi gateway and the VoIP are registered

All extensions are registered

All but one extension is in a ring group

I can make calls via the VoIP trunk OK

I can make calls between all extensions

NOW HERE IS THE PROBLEM

The system receives an incoming call and transfers it to an extension, but not an extension in the ring group, nor is it the operator extension

If I direct the call to a specific extension from the inbound route the specified extension does not ring but the same extension as with the call group does.

Help Please

You should be looking at the 3CX logs. They will show you why the call is going where it is.

thanks for post.

Am I not right in thinking the inbound call must be reaching 3CX in order for an extension to ring and be answered? .

Correct...and the 3CX logs will show if that is happening, and, where the call ends up going, or not, as the case may be.

I have an Obi110 set-up for incoming only, both Google Voice and PSTN. I have not yet bothered configuring for outgoing as I find the routing methods to be a nightmare compared to other devices. I don't think they could have made it any more complicated if they had tried.

I have posted the logs in the 3CX V12 form
