External Company Phonebook Not Displayed on SNOM Phones

Hello, (3CX V20 update 9 build 995)

I have a site where we are using some SNOM phones that were recovered/redeployed from another site. The phone models are:

• SNOM 715
• SNOM D735
• SNOM D785

Version : 10.1.215.13.
For some reason, the 3CX External Contacts phonebook does not appear on these phones.

The internal extensions are displayed correctly, but the external contacts/company phonebook is not available.

Since these phones are assigned to Department B, I have tried creating/assigning the external contacts to different groups, including:

• Company
• Department A
• Default
• Department B

However, the external contacts still do not appear on the phones.

I have also verified that the contacts contain the required information, including First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number.

Could you please confirm whether the SNOM 715, D735 and D785 are compatible with displaying/retrieving the 3CX External Contacts phonebook?

If they are compatible, could you please advise if there is any specific configuration required on 3CX or on the phones?

@orlanIMP how are these phones provisioned, local or remote ?
The URL that the phones use will be in the following format ( with your FQDN and the SubDir )
https://fqdn/provisioning/xxxxxxxxxx/snom_phonebook.xml

Take the correct link and put it in your browser, do you see there all the contacts ?
Open the GUI of the phone, go on Status > Log and check there for the " /snom_phonebook.xml " .

The server is remote, not local.

Thanks for this URL, I was able to narrow down my investigation.

It appears that the phone is retrieving the "Company" phonebook, which is the shared/common phonebook for everyone, rather than the phonebook associated with the department assigned to the extension (the site's main department, Department A).

Is this expected behavior?

Should the phone retrieve the phonebook associated with the department assigned to the extension instead of the global "Company" phonebook?
