Hi Everyone,

We're using 3CX with Fanvil X3S phones configured as hot desks.

If i factory reset a phone (hold down OK button until the phone resets its self and then re-appears as a new phone in the phones page (ie a new uPNP request)

shouldnt the phone just pick up its previous provisioning files and basically set its self up as it was before the rest.

With the MAC address assigned to a hotdesk ID it cant go anywhere else anyway so it seems daft to require me to manually assign it back to the hd "extension" again ?

If you reset the phone, and what the system to provision the phone using the existing settings, you need to use dhcp option 66 - https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/dhcp-option-66/

Else you need to delete the phone setup within 3CX and highlight the phone and provision it manually.

Note : if you use dhcp option 66, Pnp will not work - you have to add the phone details manually into 3cx
