Failover with Public FQDN

Hello,

Has anyone configured Failover using Custom Public FQDN?
The 3cx failover document only covers the info when the 3cx FQDN is being used.
I would like to know what the changes when we aren't using 3CX provided FQDN.
If someone has already achieved this, kindly let me know.

Hello @techdummy

If you are using a custom FQDN you will need to figure out a way to update the public DNS records automatically once failover is triggered as this will not be done by 3CX.

Check to see if your DNS provider has an API that you can use. We use GoDaddy and I was able to build a script that would run on failover and update our GoDaddy DNS A Record.
