Failure to Upgrade/update from v16.0.8.9 to either v16.0.8.16 or v18

I have 2 installs currently on Debian 9, v16.0.8.9 that are in Chicago and Dublin (I am in SC, USA) I get an error when I try to update or upgrade. I will post the log below. Both installs were installed using wget.

I don't have a GUI or a CD drive. My re-seller says to build a new server with the Debian ISO.I can't. 3CX support chat was even more confusing when I tried to explain that I can't access my portal from the server. It looks like the PostgreSQL-Contrib is the issue. I am looking for options.

You say both installs were done with wget, so it's an unsupported setup and likely why the upgrader is failing.

Make sure you have an offline backup.

You can try to install the missing dependencies and run apt --fix-broken install

It was supported when I installed it. I followed the instructions from the 3CX guides.

Ah, if you installed it when non-iso installs were the supported method then I apologize. That was last supported about 3 years or so and it's not common to see that today.

My steps if you can't reinstall 3CX from ISO and want to continue still stands. Offline/off machine backup, then you can install the missing/needed dependencies and see if you can get the script in a happy state.

I think I agree with your reseller on this one, the best solution would be do take a backup at this point of your current system and restore it onto a newly deployed V18. It can still be deployed in AWS of course as that is where your current installation seems to be judging from the repositories you have.

So, let's work on getting you a new backup. I didn't quite understand, can you log into your 3CX Management Console or not? You must have had access at some point as you triggered the update.
If you don't have access to the Management Console, do you have SSH console access to the 3CX Server?

My US Server is hosted in Rackspace. There is some confusion because my reseller said that v18 is it's own OS image, but 3CX told me it was not an OS. I do not have a Debian 10 server available to me at Rackspace. My phone servers do not have GUIs. I was able to mount the ISO for 18, but I don't see a 3CX install on the image.

The ISO triggers 3CX install after OS installation. Yes it is possible to just install Debian 10 manually and trigger it the same way, but that would leave you in an unsupported state although likely working correctly.

What @SweetAction said, why not consider moving to a 3CX tested/approved Hosting Provider?

Take your backup and restore it onto a new platform from the ones listed. I am sure your reseller should be able to help you with that. If not, send me a PM.

...or do what SweetAction said, but that throws you outside what is tested/supported.
