Fanvil H3W issues

Does anyone have any experience with the Fanvil H3W model phone?

I am running into BLF config issues and handset call initiation issues using the H3 template and was looking for anyone who might be able to help.

I reached out to 3CX support and they just state the H3W model phone is not supported and they do not know when or if it ever will be supported...

I find this a little frustrating considering Fanvil is the Preferred phone vendor for 3CX.

1. BLF Issue: Cannot configure BLF buttons using the H3 template. Can configure buttons manually through web interface of phone.
2. Call initiation issue: When picking up the handset a user cannot use a BLF buttons to initiate a call until after the dial tone sound ends after 7-9 delay. If you do not pick up the handset and just click a BLF button the call is initiated on speakerphone somewhat normally in most cases.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Being a preferred phone vendor, does not automatically mean you support all the manufactures phones.

3CX does list the currently supported phones - https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

As the H3 template is not designed for the H3W phone, configuring the phone thru the management console is going to be hit or miss and some of the functions may not work.

Have you reached out to Fanvil to see if they have a 3cx template

This model is not currently supported, so it is not expected to work when you try to provision it as a H3 when it is in fact a H3W.

There are plans to support these in the future, probably in the next 3CX update.

For now though we cannot provide any assistance or support on making it work, you have to treat it as an unsupported phone.
