Fanvil i30 Door Phone Video Question

Brand new Fanvil i30 video doorbell and everything works perfectly. Pressing the button calls an extension and that extension can receive the call and see video, but only after answering and manually clicking on the Video button in the Webclient.

Is there a way for the video to automatically appear, either during the initial incoming ringing or right after answering without having to manually click on the web client's Video button?

The first scenario may not be possible as the call is yet to be answered (established). The second, while it makes sense in your situation, one way video, it does not sound like an option that would necessarily be desired, when 2-way video is involved, as I assume it would probably also enable your camera when the call is answered

I agree that the 2-way scenario might not make sense to have video automatically connect (although it does with a device like an iPhone's FaceTime functionality). But for 1-way, it would be ideal to have the video automatically appear to make the experience as fluid as possible.

Not doable with the webclient, but may be doable if the answering device is for example a video-capable phone.

It's not a 3CX specific feature by the way, it depends on whether the recipient phone can process video.

Just completely off topic - Does the webclient have to be in softphone mode to be able to get the video or will it work in deskphone mode too?

Softphone, otherwise it's not the media recipient.
