I just started with 3CX I am using the free version. I bought a Fanvil V64 the firmware was higher version than 3CX so I tried to provision with the shipped firmware. The phone provisioned but the SIP would not register. I then loaded the 3CX firmware and tried again. I can see in the System Configuration tab that a file has been loaded into the phone but on reboot the phone does not provision and it seems nothing is changed.

I tried all of these steps per JohnS_3CX recommendation on another thread.

1. Check that the phone firmware is the latest that appears here: - (downloaded and installed)
2. Check that you have only a single SBC on 3CX, and that it appears green (registered). (I am trying to use this as a router phone and per 3CX recommendation a separate SBC is not needed.)
3. If you have more than one SBC, edit your extension that failed to register and check that it has indeed been set to SBC mode, and that the correct SBC exists in the drop down menu.(n/a just the one router phone)
4. You might have to reprovision the phone by rebooting it if you needed to make any corrections (did this multiple times)
5. When done, you can log into the phone web interface, look at the SIP Proxy, and confirm that it has the same LAN IP populated there as your SBC machine.(don't see SIP Proxy in the phone but I do see Static Provisioning Server. It shows https://1238.3cx.cloud not sure if this step applies to just a router phone)
6. It should go without saying, but the SBC machine must be on the same LAN and IP range as your Fanvils otherwise the phone will find it impossible to register (I am able to log on to the phone so it must be on my network. My understanding is that the phone is acting as the SBC)
7. Just in case - ensure that the LAN where the phones live does not have DHCP Option 66 sending them towards an erroneous provisioning server! (The phone has this option but not the LAN it is plugged into. Should it be deselected on the phone?)

In the web portal the Reboot and Reprovision buttons are not active. The only choice is delete and add the phone back. The local IP field is blank so I am guessing that is normal for a hosted account.

I don't know what else to try. If I buy STARTUP PRO will I be able to fix this? I see other threads with advice that require options I don't have on the free version.

Hello,

Can you please try to factory reset the phone again?

When it completes, the phone LCD will ask you for language selection (this is your confirmation that the reset completed successfully).

You can select your language and then wait 1-2 mins at most to see that the phone has provisioned with your name. The phone should then automatically restart once.

Let's see it it works after the factory reset.

Ok I did that but still did not provision.

I got it working by accident. I was going to do another factory reset but when I got the Post message on the phone I hit the wrong key so I decided to unplug it instead. When I plugged it back it everything started to work and now the phone is all good. I must have done about 10 factory resets with no result prior to this happy accident.
