Greetings all,

We found a bug which we can reproduce.
On the X210, there is a side cart attached to the phone with 32 x 3 programmable keys.
We just got one of those to run test. Here is the bug we found:

When the key 11 (top left of the side cart) is a BLF, at reboot of the set, it works correctly.
If down the road we make a change to any other key on the phone, the first side cart key *IF* it is a BLF is not working anymore.
When you press on it, you have the Dsskey 1-1 option displayed on the screen.

Only way for fix it for now:
- Un-assign the key, re-provision, re-assign the key, re-provision
or
- reboot

I will contact Fanvil for this one and will keep this thread updated

I just ran into the same issue with the X7 with 2.2.13 firmware. I downgraded to 2.2.11 to (hopefully) correct the issue.

I received a Fanvil firmware 2.4.1 and issue was still here.
Their ticketing system is not the best, no way to follow up.
I'll see what I can do. If not, I won't use this particular key. :/

Hi @fgc92210

Thanks for reporting, we will look further into it.

For now please reboot the phone after any changes to the BLF to force the BLFs to re-subscribe.

hi,

I have a ticket opened with Fanvil.
I also noticed that if you make a change on the X210 and reboot before re-provisioning, the new XML file is not sent (or not taken in account by the phone), and the old configuration comes back. Even though the change shows in BLF screen in 3CX.

Only way to fix this is after a change, to re-provision, then reboot

Indeed, we have also noticed the same. We should be getting an updated firmware at some point that corrects this, but no ETA at the moment since it is under investigation by the manufacturer.

If you also also get a reply, feel free to update your post here.

I got the same problem with X4U firmware 2.2.13 BLF random not working. un Reprovisioning or reboot fix it. Now switching back to 2.2.11

This is a different issue from the above, I suggest you start a new post on that one and provide all the necessary info

I have five X210 we are currently installing at a local school. The phones have FW 2.2.13 and I only realized we had an issue after I attempted to program the additional function keys for BLF. I made the mistake of factory defaulting one of the X210 during troubleshooting. I can't assign it to an extension... it doesn't provision at all. The other phones currently registered don't reprovision on a hard reboot either. I even manually entered the provisioning URL and MAC.cfg into the phone I defaulted and still won't provision. What is making this worse is the phone fails every time I try to change the firmware back to 2.2.11.Pretty annoying. Has anyone any suggestions to try? This is our first Fanvil deployment as we typically use Yealink. Thanks!

Hi,
Fanvil acknowledge the bug I mentioned in this topic, and is supposedly working on a fix for their next firmware.
Regarding your issue, we are using firmware 2.2.13 without issue (beside the one mentioned in this topic)

Is your 3CX Local to your school network, or in the cloud?

Thanks for the reply. The 3CX server is on premise. We have 72 phones... which are comprised of (5) X210, (14) X6U, (53) X3SP and (1) i18s door station. All other phones provision normally and even the X210s initially provisioned without issue when they were on firmware 2.2.11. At some point they were updated to 2.2.13. The X210 are for the receptionists and they finally sent me a list of their desired BLFs and speed dials, but I can't provision those changes.

Hi Chad,

It sounds like your issue is mostly with provisioning, and not related to this current thread.

If you are still having trouble at this stage, I suggest to start a new thread and don't forget to read the sticky in the general forum to provide all the relevant info too.

Hi John,

I agree. I did some more testing over the weekend and if I default any Fanvil phone, I cannot provision it back to its extension; I have to manually provision or restore a saved config. I have one Yealink CP920 onsite and I can default it and re-provision without issue. I also had my tech bring one of the X210 to our office and I could default and provision it to my own extension without difficulty. I will start a new thread. Thank you.
