Hi all,

We had a report yesterday of a Fanvil X3S losing its config and have had another one today.
They're on the latest firmware although did notice the below:

I believe this is resolved in Update 7 as they're on Update 6 at the moment. We have tried manually downloading the cfg file and uploading it to the phone web interface but with the one yesterday we had to manually enter the line details.

Am I right in that this model can no longer be autoprovisioned?

The Fanvil X3S is a supported model as per guideline. The ip phone will not lose the provisioning configuration unless it is factory reset. As a first step please ensure that the PBX is under the latest update, then ensure that the phone is also updated to the latest supported firmware version and no custom template is in use.
If the phone is losing registration this is a different issue which indicates connectivity issue. How is the phone provisioned?

Thanks TheodorosG, I ended up upgrading the phone to the latest firmware and then manually entering the autoprovision details from another phone there except with different provisioning URL and config file and it seemed to work on two out of the three phones that seemed to lose their config and they provisioned again fine.

Glad to know that it is working as expected.

We had a similar problem with a single X3S phone going off line our of 5. I was provisioning other phones and replaced it with an X3SP Pro. Same config, same network port and it worked. More at the bottom

Got to troubleshooting the phone: Fanvil 3XS V2.14.0.7387 via SBC
Reset to factory and re-provisioned on a network jack we have another working phone on. Same issues after the 3CX system provisioned it. It boots with the correct ID but then cannot get IP address. After a number of rounds, it seems to be a VLAN issue. Not sure if something changed with a recent update, but the same phone model works fine with the VLAN set in the config.

Also, the three new X3SP Pro phones (as well as the re-provisioned phone) are provisioned and working but do not show up in the extensions. They still show as new on the phones tab.
