Fanvil X7 default external ringtone

Hi

Confused about how to get the default external ring tone to be different to the default for the Fanvil X7. I can set it within the phone provisioning or via the phone's GUI or even from the handset itself, yet the ringtone is always the same (Default). Our customer prefers "type 1", but cannot get this to work without using a queue.

Hi Neil,

IVR and External calls have a hardcoded ringtone which you cannot change.

If you want to make this change you need to write a custom template. We would not recommend that because it comes with its own caveats. If you choose to do so, make sure you read the last section here and understood it first:
