FAX outbound call or registration forbidden ???

Hi!

I fail to send faxes with 3cx.

Hardware is a Brother MFC-L 2710 DW hooked to a Grandstream HT801, which is provisioned and status page looks fine.



Error message is like this:

Call or Registration to 08xxxxxxx@(Ln.10001@Deutsche Telekom SIP-Trunk 2) has failed. 217.x.1xx.1xx replied: 403 Forbidden; from IP:217.x.1xx.1xx:5060

Help is very appreciated. Thanks!

The provider rejects the call/Fax as per the event log IP:217.x.1xx.1xx:5060 with a 403 Forbidden.

Consider contacting them and asking them why this is

Try placing the call from an extension (assuming the fax and an extension will use the same outgoing trunk), and, if the call goes through, then compare the log to see if the number sent is exactly the same in both cases.

I can say that FAX with 3CX works for me now.

Fault was: I put an outgoing number into the fax configuration of 3CX. This caused the "forbidden 403". With telephone and fax in same way. leave this blank and it worked immediately. Both reveive and send.
