I am trying to set up the free standard phone system for our new business. If the digital assistant hears a fax tone I want it to email me the fax. We use a Flowroute SIP. The digital assistant is answering the phone and routing calls to the appropriate place. Emails are working with voicemails and other functions.

You can't. 3CX doesn't do Fax Detection. You need a separate DID pointing to the 888 Fax Server extension (or any FAX extension).

@techgnomelv as mentioned above, yes you can point your DID directly to the fax server or any extension you want the FAX to go to. Check attached screenshot.
This extension must have email address specified in it 's General Tab and this user will receive the FAX at his email.
