Internal firewalling is becoming more common, as is the case in our environment. which means for us that the Ports used by 3cx page is incomplete. If these ports had been listed, that entire thread probably wouldn't have existed.
To save others the pain I went through, is it possible to request that the "ports" page be updated to reflect the "Internal RTP" and "External RTP" ports, with a note on the "Internal" ones that it is only required if there is a firewall between the local PBX and local client.

"Local" endpoints (on a LAN IP, not over internet), the 3CX Server will use the UDP 7000-8999 port range for RTP/Audio traffic.
