FIXED When Is Android App V16.0.0.35 EOL

Current Server is 16.0.1.273 soon to be 16.0.2.910

Our company is using some older smart phones as 3CX softphones as a cost effective way to give most employees a phone. These are older phones that max out at android 5.1.1 and are not capable of the newest update to the 16.1 App, but they all work still with the version that is current installed on them. We were wondering what version of server is the cutoff point for the old V16.0.0.35 Android App

Since the release of the Legacy App, I speculate a at least till end of 2020. Can anyone point me to an official post or time line for version EOL info?

There is no exact time. But do not worry because it will be there on the store for a while.
If you use androids 5.1 the app will be there long after you replace your phones.

Actually I think you are wasting more time keeping them there. Last time I switched on an android 5.1 just for giggles (to see how modern apps react on it) I ended up scratching the screen to scroll down or up due it was so slow. So you think you save money, but to get something done on phones, it will take your users more time. Depends on what apps you use. But ok - maybe if they are a good build, you can wash out more from them.

Even if we remove it from the store - if you are happy with the old version and you want to milk those phones as much as you can, we will put the apk online and you can use it. No problem.

Excellent. Glad to see that the choice is in the hands of the users. The intention for most of these old phones was to replace a pager system. We are starting to have trouble with them though and are considering upgrades but we wanted to know how much time we had. Thank you for the information.
