FOP-Ext takes over 20 min to show off

Hey Team,

I noticed that on Version 2.4.0.1, within the Operator Panel under "PBX" tab, once an extension signes off (unregisteres) it takes OP about 20 to 30 minutes to show that the extension has changed from registered to unregistered.

Any suggestions on where to begin to see where problem is. I'm seeing the same thing occuring under FOP. I have done a "Sip Set Debug On" and see that the extension is sending the commands and that it unregisters.

How are you.
What's the result of sip show peers?
Do you see your extension unreachable or not?

Once I sign the extension out, sip show peers shows the extension unreachable but the Operator Panel still shows the extension registered and will for up to thirty minutes even when you do a refresh/reload on the page.

It's weird.
Did you try to stop your firewall for few minutes and check if your issue is there yet or not?

I'll back to our home today, i'll check on my dummy server.
Just an idea like that: Try with another Elastix server and checking FOP configuration if it work well.
In this case, comparing both configuration to check the difference.

I found where the issue is. I was using a softphone on my cell that was signing on to my server thru dyndns.org. I found that it would sign on ok, but when making a call it wouldn't hang up the call nor would it unregister the extension once I went thru the sign off exit procedures.

Once again, problems with dyndns.org I must figure out.

Happy that you had found where the problem came from.
I tested too... sure... no problem.

From my side, i hate dyndns, even if it's useful for lots of people.
But in some cases with Asterisk, it can bring up any problems.
I have the luck to have a static IP address for free with my provider, so no need to use dyndns. But with some providers you may paid up too 15€/month for that. it's begin to be expensive enough.

For my provider, i paid only 35€/month Internet+TV+Telephone (unlimited in National and for lots of country like USA)
I've a bandwidth : 8Mb down / 1Mb up Max

I too am lucky to have a static Ip, in fact several of them. The only reason I am using dyndns is that I thought it would eliminate the need for me to enter the Ip address in CSF of every store/restaurant I happen to be at when I want to use VoIP on my cell. But so far that's not working for me. It's not a problem to use dyndns.org on my tablet to bring up my https webpage, just a problem trying to use a softphone or wireless voip phone using dyndns.org. If I had another option or service to use I would.

Hmm from my sire, I've a domain with my website, so i created a sub-domain for my VoIP and i created a DNStype A linked to my ip address at home. So i've a specific domain for my VoIP.
However, i've the same issue like you, but i coded a small module:
