HI everyone,

Having a bit of an issue here and after having spent a couple of hours attempting to research this myself, I've finally come to the conclusion that I'm going to need some help from the community at large.

Alright, I've setup the 3CX SIP client, and can make calls and receive calls with a profile setup for Call Centric. However, I've installed the 3CX PBX and have created a separate profile for use with it. The PBX Port/Trunk Status is green and appears to be registered with Call Centric. I can also visually see my extension status as enabled when I connect using the 3CX SIP software, and disable when I disconnect. Further, I can also see the Phone Model, user ID, etc under Phones and can receive incoming calls.

But I CAN'T place out going calls. When I attempt to dial 1xxx-xxx-xxxx the SIP phone displays "Dialing" then a moment later "Forbidden" I've seen a number of posts here regarding this, but can't seem to resolve the issue.

Here's the latest part of my log:

Thanks or any help you can provide.

Well, right of the bat, I don't see any "normal" private IP addresses in the log, which means that a few things may not be set up properly. What is the IP of your PC running 3CX? What is the IP of the PC running the 3CX soft phone? Are you trying to run the softphone on the same PC?

leejor,

Thanks for your response.

The sip client and the pbx are both running on the same box and adjusted port forwarding on my linksys router for both tcp and udp on port 5060 to 192.168.1.102. (this address assigned by the router, through DHCP.) I also stopped all pbx servers and used the "test firewall" function and everything came back as "passed".

And yes, I am running both the sip client and the pbx on the same box, if I didn't mention that in my previous post.

You are probably going have issues. I suspect that the soft phone was not intended to run on the same PC as the PBX. The IP for both devices will be the same. You might try changing the port on the softphone to something other than the default of 5060 since 3CX uses that already. Good luck.

Strange..Even during configuration, the server provided me with the following:

Proxy Server or FQDN: 169.25483.226:5060
SIP ID: 101
authentication id: 101
password: *********

-----------------------

I've reconfigured the server according to the FAQ on Call Centric as well as the SIP client. Here's the latest log output. Suggestions anyone?

Does the 3CX log show that it is registering properly with Call Centric?

Can you ping that IP from the 3CX PC?

All of the IP's are the same. And none (the extension) are the private IP you listed earlier.
Phone 4.0.13679.0] PBX contact: [sip:101@169.254.83.226:5060]
And this is troubling..

I can, here's the results of the ping. I'm not sure where it's getting this IP from though.

Dudes:

It's working. It was all in the call prefix. Instructions at Call Centric and badly written. But thanks everyone for your help!
