Hello,

Tomorrow our inside sales people are having a big meeting. They asked if i could forward the calls from our inside sales ring group to our location in wisconsin. We are not bridged so i do not see how i can do this. Do i need to contact our telcom provider? is there a forwarding option?

I am new to 3cx.

Is it a ring group or a Queue?
Is it via a Dedicated DID or a DID that has an IVR first then something else?

In all cases, you can forward to an external phone number. Change either the Dedicated DID to forward to the external number... or the IVR to a "dummy extension" that then forwards all calls to an external number.

Sorry for the delayed response. Busy day.

It is a ring group. We have the DR sending options 0 and 1 to the CSR extension which is 8001. They do have a DID number. If i forward the DID to the external number, it should totally forward all calls to the ring group, regardless if it is via extension or direct dial, correct?

I apologize for the dumb questions...

You could also to create an extension, which the DID is then re-directed to, the extension would then forward to whatever outside number you want. ...or send right from DID rules.
https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/

If callers also access via a digital receptionist, then you would have to sent them to the new extension you created, rather than the ring group number.

Just remember if you set call forwarding up on 3cx you are using two calls at the same time and this will affect your license allocation. Each call will use two licenses

Depending on the calls amount. It may not be an issue

I made the extension and forwarded that to the external number, that worked out just great. Thank you guys for the advice! this can be marked as solved, not sure how to do that lol

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you updating the thread with your solution
