I just created one today and noticed that the license expiry date is December...After this does it stay 'free forever' or do I need to purchase another license?

and up to 3 desk phones which includes a router phone or 3 plus the router phone?
the router phone can be used with an user extension, it is not that the phone will be a paperweight because it is configured as router phone ;). So, if you have three users then one extension is assigned to the router phone and the rest with two normal phones, in total 3 desk phones.

what about dect wireless/cordless phones? can I configure those in the free cloud version?

Another question about the free version....how can we create outbound rules for numbers dialed? Wanting to not have to dial 1 plus the area code for local number calls

license probably renews with the SSL cert or youre trialing pro.

Using FREE/SMB you don't have to configure outbound rules, you just need to dial the external numbers in the correct format needed by the VoIP Provider.

Flowroute is my provider and they are supported by you I believe, and they require 11 digits for all calls...I don't want to have to dial all that every time..PRO version lets me create rules to prepend depending on the number of digits I dial

then you need to go ahead with a dedicated installation where you can create your custom outbound rules :)
