Hi Guys

I have been a longtime user for 3CX and recently i have got this error

"full cone test failed"

I know that it means its not getting any outgoing or incoming connections. I just reinstalled WIN 7 PRO and since it was a fresh install i was not expecting that error

My router is MI424WR-GEN3I from Verizon.

I could really use your help figuring out how to get around this error so that i can make my PBX work at home :)

Here is the firewall report

Best,
Jordan Morley

If nothing has changed on the router, does the win 7 machine has the same IP address as the previous working machine

Good morning,

So I went into my router and tried forwarding ports (thought it was done already which it wasn’t) and now all things work

Apologies and you can delete this thread.

It's not working because you're running Windows 7 in 2018. :p

Sounds like one of two likely culprits:

1. Your new installation of W7 likely resulted in a change of local IP address for the 3CX server, so all of your existing port forwarding rules are forwarding to the wrong IP address; in which case, you will have to change either the IP address on your 3CX server or port forwarding rules on your router to match.

2. Your port forwarding rules aren't setup correctly - google how to setup port forwarding for you particular router model and ensure you have the following ports forwarded to the IP address of your 3CX server:
  • 5000
  • 5001
  • 5060
  • 5090
  • 9000 - 9398
  • 10600 - 10998
